Andrea Bučko is a singer, pianist, composer, author and theater director from Bratislava, who moved to Vienna after a long stay in Paris. On her new album “Escape” she moves, accompanied by piano, cello, harp and guitar, between neo-classical, singer / songwriter, world music, soul and jazz – in English, French and Slovak. Her intimate and passionate songs cover the themes of love and loss, desire, hope and even flight – and much of it is based on the experiences of her long stay in Paris, during which she worked with many artists from the Middle East. Her performance at the Jazz Fest Wien 2018 is her second concert in Vienna, the deliberately intimate album premiere in April left an enthusiastic audience and she is still considered an insider tip!
