Bassist Miles Mosley was born in 1980 and named after Miles Davis. He is one of the up and coming talents in today’s West Coast jazz scene. Mosley studied under legendary bassist Ray Brown. Mosley has also performed rock, R&B and hip-hop. He plays a mean version of the Jimi Hendrix classic “Voodoo Chile”. He has also collaborated with, among others, Kendrick Lamar, Jonathan Davis, Kamasi Washington and Joni Mitchell. His current solo album is titled “Uprising”. It includes him singing a tribute to his hometown called “L.A. Won’t Bring You Down”.
