Sarah McCoy has a wonderfully expressive voice which lends itself better to the evening than to the day. No wonder: she has been performing in nightclubs for more than a decade. Her emotional songs are geared for a life aiming for the moon and the stars. The French call these melancholy and beautiful songs Chanson Noire. McCoy’s inspirations include Tom waits, Bessie Smith and Nina Simone, Recently, Miss McCoy released “Blood Siren”, an album of original songs produced by Chilly Gonzales. She will be making her Vienna debut at the Jazz Fest.
